Just a quick post ….. After watching those videos of those big crocs I think they are the same croc. I saw these 2 (or 1) within .5 miles of each other and about 2-3 days apart. These could very well be the same croc. Watch the videos and tell me what you think.

Been home a week. Author: Terry
I’ve been home a week today and I finally have some time to write some thoughts of my CR trip. There was lots of good and a little bad but everything was interesting. As I posted before I shipped my boat and motor down to CR and everything went well with that other than I learned a lesson on CR lawyers. Never trust/believe a lawyer in CR. Always get a second lawyer to “check” on the first lawyer. It seems like they deliberately try to be incompetent so they can get more work for their colleges. I was quoted from my lawyer that it would cost me only $200.00 import duty on my boat and motor. All my research showed it would cost around $1000.00 to $1500.00 duty. Even when I mentioned this to my lawyer she assured me that it would only be 200 dollars US. I got to CR on the 3rd of Dec and waited for my boat to arrive. When it got there I was getting it thru custom to find out it was going to be 2000.00 duty. After a few days of trying to get a hold of my now very busy lawyer only to get a shrug and brush off I went back to the old fashioned ways of doing things and got the boat thru for 1200 U.S. This was not a big surprise but I mention this to show just how poor the lawyers in CR are. After talking to other Gringos I found that my lawyer experience is the norm …..
Just before Christmas I got the boat into Tortuguero but that is a story for another post. I will say that it was an adventure but then everything I did was an adventure. I came back out from the jungle and spent the holidays with the family who were down for a couple of weeks. They did come into the jungle for a couple of days but we spent most of their time in CR being tourist and driving around.
I got back to the jungle by the 2nd of Jan and stayed there off and on till I came back on the 26th of Feb. I did come out of the jungle 3 times during these 2 months …… twice because of extensive rain/high water and I came out for the Superbowl. The rest of the time was spent bumming around the jungle. There will be many more post about what I was doing while bumming around but that is for future posts.
Meanwhile I will continue to post my videos and I do promise to make future posts to explain the story behind the videos. I tried to do an audio explanation on most of the videos but I will be adding more post as I get time. I am very busy trying to get everything caught up and get things ready so I can get back to CR as soon as I can. Got to go ……

Well…..I survived my trip. I have some decent videos that I am going to get up on the blog in the next few days. I am hoping to get back down to CR in April for another go around. I need a new camera as the Sony that I had this trip fogged up and left me with some cloudy video. But if you can look thru the cloud the video is kind of neat. So …… keep coming back as there will be some activity on the blog…..
